Peeved at KPH record-keeping

Published:Tuesday | January 22, 2013

THE EDITOR, Sir:

Does the Kingston Public Hospital have a record-keeping system to store patient data? This does not seem to be norm there. How can they be so negligent!

Rudolph Wade was a patient on Ward 2A from November 6-12, 2012, and went to the urology clinic on January 7 this year. He died that same night.

Family members went to the hospital the following day, hoping to get a death certificate, and were told that Wade's docket could not be found.

It has been two weeks now. No one has been reprimanded. The family of the deceased has not heard from the hospital and the dead can't get final rest. The system is not working.

We indeed paint a bad image to our countrymen and friends and families from overseas.
